“The aim is to foster movement that feels effortless, whether I'm working with an elite athlete, post surgical recovery, postpartum mom, or someone navigating a chronic condition.”
I began my journey into human movement at the Motion Analysis Laboratory at the UCLA Medical Center over 25 years ago. As both a physical therapist and Pilates instructor, I've merged the science and artistry of movement throughout my career and had the privilege of working internationally in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Malaysia, and Germany, as well as metropolitan cities in the US including Los Anglees, Honolulu and San Francisco.
Over the years, I've discovered that each person's movement is as unique as their fingerprint, shaped by their genetics, lifestyle, and medical history. Generic exercise concepts often fail to address common issues such as muscle restrictions, unconscious muscle guarding, postural instability, or movement imbalances leading to an accumulation of pain and discomfort with daily movements.
The true magic of clinical Pilates lies in its transformative effects of correcting physical misalignments and strengthening the deep stabilizing muscles from the inside out for each person. It’s not just about movement; it’s about the quality of that movement.
about
WOMEN’S HEALTH & PELVIC FLOOR SPECIALIST
A woman's body is truly awe-inspiring, showcasing a profound ability to create life and the immense complexity that accompanies this throughout her lifetime.
Clinical pilates serves as a bridge between pelvic floor therapy and performance training by continuing to develop the stabilizing muscles during and after major life events such as pregnancy, birth and menopause to be a foundational connection for the long term.
TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
Fluid, powerful, and pain-free movement relies on the intricate coordination of our 600+muscles, which must contract, lengthen, hold, and release at varying speeds while maintaining open and supple joints positions.
Clinical Pilates is the continuous assessment of these factors while making ongoing precise and corrective adjustments to progress each person towards optimal movements.
The goal? To feel really good in your body.
